Thanks to generous supporters like you, 2024 has been an extraordinary year at Healing Reins. Over the past twelve months, we’ve seen our dream flourish as more individuals connected with horses and reached toward their goals. There’s something truly special about being around horses – some might even call it magical – and we want more people to experience it!

To create this magic for even more children and adults with challenges, we need your support. Will you join our effort to reach our $5,000 goal before the year’s end?

Meeting this goal will allow us to start the new year strong, growing our horsemanship program to be more robust and accessible to all. We’ll be able to offer more programs, including group lessons and Mobile Experience visits. Beyond the magic, these interactions build confidence, social skills, balance, strength, and so much more. Empower Our Riders: Support Their Journey

  • Luke has been riding with Healing Reins for over three years and is pictured with his horse, Payday. Despite his diagnoses of Tourette's and anxiety, Luke has developed resilience and confidence, which is evident in his connection with Payday.

  • Lilah has been riding with Healing Reins for over three years, gaining confidence and skill under the guidance of her instructor, Mia Vitesse. Her independence has grown as she confidently grooms and tacks, and being around the horses has truly let her personality shine.

  • Dylan and Champ have a way of working together through a close connection that they have established in the past 9 months. Dylan has progressed to riding Champs “running walk” and absolutely loves the gait and challenge of core strength that it requires. On a beautiful day, Dylan and Champ are in their element exploring the outdoors on the “trail”.

  • Marley and Brooke have been riding together for over a year and enjoy learning and practicing their dressage patterns together. As a non-verbal participant, Marley has learned how to use her own cues to ask Champ to “walk on” and “halt”. Brooke has evolved into a rider who can now relax her muscles and her mind to create an enjoyable experience while riding.

  • Janae has Dandy Walker Syndrome and she loves horses and all animals. Janae worked very hard this last semester to build up her strength to be able to mount her pony, “Noir”. We look forward to seeing her gain more riding skills as she progresses with Healing Reins.

  • Team H is a small group experience dedicated to adults with autism. Healing Reigns created HorsePower Hours to accommodate all ability levels in a group setting. This unmounted horsemanship program is an excellent alternative to riding or weekly lessons.
